If you are a Ukrainian entering Canada under the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency travel (CUAET), and have been advised to arrange for a Medical Diagnostic Test within 90 days of arrival, you are welcome to schedule an appointment with our clinic. For those enrolled with the Medical Services Plan (MSP) of BC, your appointment fees will be covered. If you have not yet enrolled with MSP, there is a fee of $150+GST per person. Once you are enrolled, you may seek reimbursement through Health Insurance BC.
There are specific items you must bring for your CUAET medical exam. The special requirements are listed below: you must bring the following items for each individual scheduled for an appointment:
Identity Document
A valid original passport that is not expired. We do not acceptphotocopies of passports unless they are certified by IRCC. If you do not have a passport, you are permitted to use any official government identity document from the Ukraine.
Permit Document from Government of Canada
A document issued to you by the government of Canada. This will either be issued as a work, student, or visitor permit, and will state at the bottom it is for CUAET purposes.
Medical Services Plan (MSP) Number
The number assigned to you by the government of British Columbia, which gives you access to health care. You must enroll into this program. If you do not yet have your MSP number, but have already applied for one, please ensure you bring documents as proof of your applied. If you have not yet enrolled with MSP, please click the button below for more information on this process.
A letter that is issued to you by IRCC in order to streamline your application through CUAET. If you do not have this letter but have applied under CUAET, please let us know upon arrival that you are presenting to our office as a result of the crisis in Ukraine, and a condition to undergo medical testing within 90 days was placed on your visitor status.
Payment for Clients Without MSP Enrollment
$157.50
All CUAET medical exams cost $157.50 per person. We accept cash, debit, and most major credit card providers. We will provide you with a receipt after your appointment, which you may use to seek reimbursement from Health Insurance BC once you are enrolled with MSP.
Translator
English is spoken at this office. If you are not fluent in English you must arrange to bring someone with you for help with translation. We do not provide translation services at this office.
